But
both were released from custody as they had already served half of their
sentences while on remand ahead of trial.
Both
Cheng and Lin were due to stand trial but pleaded guilty to the offence of controlling
prostitution for gain.
Now
Greater Manchester Police have published appeals urging the public to come
forward with any information surrounding the two brothel workers' whereabouts.
Cheng,
said GMP, has breached the terms of his license.
Both
men also have links to London.
Manchester
Crown Court heard both men arranged clients' meetings and created online
adverts - charging £160 for an hour and £500 for nine hours.
Detectives
from GMP's Serious and Organised Crime unit stormed a flat on Harter Street in
the city centre in August 2019.
They
believed the property was being used as a brothel.
Among
items discovered were condoms, baby oil, clean towels and bedding, the court
heard.
Three
young sex workers were found at the flat.
Anyone with information regarding the
whereabouts of both men is being asked to contact police on 0161 856 4102 or
Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
