An Irishwoman is one of four members of a family who have died in a murder-suicide in the US. Two adults and two teenage boys were found dead in a house in Reno, Nevada, on Wednesday morning. They all died of gunshot wounds and have been officially identified as 53-year-old Joan Huber, 50-year-old Adam P Huber, 17-year Adam J Huber and 16-year-old Michael Huber. Former president of the East Kerry GAA, and a psychiatric nurse, John passed away in February 2018 at the age of 83. He was at one time a general election candidate for the Progressive Democrats and the author of a number- of local histories. Mrs Huber's mother Sheila, nee Doolan, and a number of her siblings reside in Killarney.
Local TD Danny Healy-Rae knows her family. Deputy Healy-Rae said: "It's such a terrible thing to happen and we hope and we pray with them and for them, that God will give them the strength and the courage to carry on, because that is what they will have to do. "It's tough, I know, but we are all with them and we'll help them in any way that we can." He added that the area is in shock, saying: "I know them to be a very good, hard-working, honest family, pillars in the community and the sort of people you'd like to be friends with because they are so honest and hard-working. "It's so tough and it's so hard, you can't understand what causes these terrible things to happen."

UPDATE:

Four people, including two juveniles, were found dead in Reno, Nevada, home Wednesday in what police believe is a murder-suicide. Police discovered the bodies of four people who are thought to be related at about 11 a.m. Officers went to the home after family and friends reported not having seen the married couple and their two children for several days, NBC affiliate KRNV of Reno reported.
The identities of the dead were being withheld pending confirmation by the Washoe County Medical Examiner's Office. Two of the dead are said to be juveniles who attended Damonte Ranch High School. A Reno police spokesperson did not immediately respond to an e-mailed request for comment Wednesday night. "We don't know what led up to this. We didn't have prior calls or anything like that," police Sgt. John Silver said, according to the Reno Gazette-Journal newspaper. Police did not provide details about how or when the four died or whether a weapon was found.
Reno police said the two teenagers appear to be the victims of the suspected murder-suicide.
Police did not comment on how they were killed, saying it is too early to tell.
"We don't know what led up to this. We didn't have prior calls or anything like that," said Sgt. John Silver.
"We are still at the beginning stages," he said. "We need to determine exactly what happened. We're going to have to go through this whole house to make sure we cover all the bases and make sure our initial thoughts are accurate."
Original story: Reno police are investigating a suspected murder-suicide that has left four people dead in South Reno.
Two of the victims were students at Damonte Ranch High School.
"I can confirm that two of the victims were juveniles and go to Damonte Ranch High School," said Officer Travis Warren.
Police discovered the four bodies in a home on Canyon Country Court on Wednesday morning. They are believed to be members of the same family who lived in the home, police said.
"This appears to be an isolated incident and there is no threat to the community," police said in a press release. The Washoe County Medical Examiner is working to confirm the identities of the victims.

Warren said police are investigating whether one person killed their three family members or if two were involved in the murder before committing suicide.
Support services are in place for students at the high school, Warren said.
